Instantly find rulebooks, how-to-play videos, and more for any board game.

How to use

  1. Type a game name in the search box. Results appear instantly — no need to press Enter.
  2. Optionally use the refinement chips to narrow the search to a specific edition, expansion, or variant.
  3. Tap any result link to open it:
    • Rulebook (PDF) — Google search for the official rules PDF
    • How to Play video — YouTube tutorial for the game
    • BoardGameGeek — Find the exact game, edition, and expansions
    • Ask in NotebookLM — Load a rulebook PDF and ask questions about the rules
    • General web search — Broad search for anything about the game
    • Score sheet template — Opens Score Keeper with a pre-built template (available for select games)
  4. Recent searches appear below the search box for quick access. Up to 8 are saved. Tap × to remove one, or Clear all to reset.

Narrowing by version or edition

Many games have multiple editions, printings, and expansions with different rules. The refinement panel lets you narrow the search so results match your specific box.

Tap a chip (like 2nd edition or Kickstarter) to add it to your search, or type directly in the fine-tune field below the chips. You can select multiple chips at once. Tap a chip again to deselect it.

Selecting Base game only clears all other selections and focuses results on the core game.

Skip the refinement panel entirely if you just want broad results — the links work fine without it.

About the links

This app doesn’t host any rulebooks. Every link opens a search on an external site — BoardGameGeek, YouTube, Google, or NotebookLM. You may need to dig through results to find the exact edition you’re looking for.

All links open in your default browser.

Add to home screen

Install the app on your home screen for one-tap access whenever a rules dispute breaks out mid-game.

iOS · Safari

  1. Open the app in Safari (must be Safari, not Chrome or Firefox).
  2. Tap the Share button — the square with an arrow pointing up at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add to confirm.

Android · Chrome

  1. Open the app in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen or Install App.
  4. Tap Add to confirm.
Once installed, the app updates automatically — no need to reinstall when changes are made.
